Dr. Edenbaum is a licensed periodontal specialist. In our practice, Dr. Edenbaum works with many outside referrals to provide patients with services not usually handled by a restorative or general dentist. Throughout treatment, your dentist is included in all treatment decisions. Once treatment is complete, you are returned to your dentist for continuing care.

Dental Implants

Dr. Edenbaum works with many dentists outside of State of the Art Smiles. In these cases, your dentist becomes a part of the implant team. All implant patients have their implant(s) placed according to a treatment plan established by Dr. Edenbaum and your dentist. Once the implant is ready to be restored (have the crown placed), you are returned to your dentist with all of the information required to create an excellent outcome.

Periodontal Therapy (Treatment of Gum Disease)

Dr. Edenbaum works with many dentists outside of State of the Art Smiles to manage periodontal therapy. At State of the Art Smiles, Dr. Edenbaum uses an ErCr:YSGG laser to perform periodontal surgery and restore you to periodontal health. Your periodontal treatment plan is established with the input of your dentist. Once treatment is complete you are returned to your general dentist for all restorative therapy and supportive therapy.

Treatment of Disorders of the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ)

Dr. Edenbaum works with many dentists outside of State of the Art Smiles to manage various degrees of TMJ Dysfunction. Your general dentist will be kept abreast of all treatment and you will be returned to your dentist once you are stable enough for any needed restorative work to be done.
